A Sunday in Seattle

This past Sunday we headed into Seattle for the day. I signed up to hear a talk from Ina Garten, also known as the Barefoot Contessa on the Food Network. I really didn't know much about her at all, so it was good to hear her tell her story and her approach to cooking.

Then, I decided to get some books signed by her; however, they ran out of books to purchase so Andrew and I hiked uptown to B&N to buy some books and "booked it" back to the auditorium where we made it in time before the line died down, to have her sign the books.

Afterwards, we went shopping for a bit and we saw these electric blue trees near Westlake Center.

Then, we made our way toward the Public Market, Post Alley to find the Pink Door - an italian restaurant with gluten free pasta and bread! We found it and were able to eat outside with the amazing view of the water.

Then, we walked down towards the pier to ride the brand new ferris wheel. It was perfect timing because as we were on it, we were able to catch the sunset. There's nothing more beautiful than the Seattle water on a sunny day.
