A Wedding on a Whim

These past 10 days have been a whirlwind! We got to see my sister and learned that she and her boyfriend will be moving to Belgium as soon as the Army relocates them, we received 24 hours notice that my brother and his fiance would be getting married in a backyard ceremony in Salt Lake City, and my mom got a terrific new job opportunity and will be leaving the Clark County School District after 20 years!

The most surprising, of course, was my brother's wedding. But, my mom and I booked our flights and headed down to Salt Lake City for a beautiful backyard wedding. Meghan, his new bride, has a fabulous family and incredible friends who threw together a terrific wedding at just a moment's notice. It was officiated by a lovely LDS Bishop who gave a wondeful talk. Meghan's family is just wonderful and loving and it was a great time to get to know them. While it was certainly spur of the moment, you could tell how happy my brother Jeff and Meghan are! I am so grateful to the wonderful people in SLC for pulling off a great event in the middle of the week. Seriously, people can be so kind and generous, and it just warms my heart!

Here are some photos of their wedding on a whim!
