Covid Shutdown
March 12th Scarlett’s school was canceled and we were sent home from work indefinitely. It was the beginning of the unknown. At the time, we thought it would only last a few days, maybe a couple weeks. We never imagined how the Pandemic would affect us and for the length of time. We shifted to a work at home situation - I worked out of our home office and Andrew started working from the home dining room. We asked a teenage sister of one of Scarlett’s friends, Carrera (James), to start nannying during the day and helping watch Scarlett and get her to do her “at home” homework. It was a hard transition, but we were resilient. Scarlett finished out her Kindergarten year strong, we were able to get Nanny Bethany back for the Summer and start to get into some semblance of our “new” routine.
