June Baby Preparations

The month of June proved to be a long month as we waited in anticipation of Baby Doran! We finished our baby-prep classes including CPR & First Aid and a weekend marathon of labor prep where we, with 20 other couples, learned how to get through labor. Andrew and I also had some final hurrah's before the baby arrived: a big night out at a fundraiser for Seattle University, our last Mariner's game where we got to see A-rod before his retirement, and a final weekend getaway to Salish lodge.

Our weekend's were spent preparing the baby's room and trying to get everything in order. I worked the entire month of June preparing for my other "baby" at work - our annual Worldwide Partner Conference, so it was extremely busy and definitely kept my mind off of worrying about when the baby would come.

I am grateful that I felt good for almost all of my pregnancy and I'm glad I kept working and continuing to do a lot of walking (albeit sloooww...). For me, it allowed me to keep my energy high and to continue to feel strong and well.

Here are some photos of our maternity pictures that we had taken:

I also had a few others taken by a woman at work who is a budding photographer:

Here we are at the Seattle University gala on June 1st (watermark was from photographer):

Our getaway to Salish Lodge the weekend of June 14th was fabulous and our meal was excellent. I swore I was having contractions that weekend, so we were a bit on edge. A wonderful retreat for just the two of us.
