California Dreamin'! in Carmel-by-the-Sea

In late August, we enjoyed a weekend getaway to a little slice of paradise: Carmel-by-the-Sea. I absolutely adore this cottage town adjacent to Pebble Beach. Andrew had a work commitment the week prior, so I flew down to join him. We stayed in one of the little motels in town and just enjoyed a relaxing weekend by the beach.

I especially love the quaint character of this town - every street with unique boutique shops and restaurants.




We spent some time just playing in the sand and taking in the ocean views. I swear your blood pressure drops instantly when by the water!





On Saturday night, we had dinner at the fabulous Mission Ranch Restaurant - highly recommend it!! Great people watching and a hub of activity!

The next day, we hung out at the Pebble Beach golf club. Andrew had played there on Friday, so he wanted to show me what this iconic golf destination was all about. On our way, we drove on 17 mile drive and stopped by to see the lone cypress tree. We had a beautiful lunch at the golf club to round out our trip.
