Cheering on Clemson!

Two weeks ago we took a Friday off of work and headed 3,000 miles away to cheer on Clemson! Andrew's fraternity, ATO, sponsors an annual golf tournament to benefit a scholarship fund for a fraternity brother who died in 9/11. It was a great reason to head East and enjoy some sunshine AND for me to finally see what the Clemson Tigers are really all about! What a lovely, southern town with delightful charm! The school spirit was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I've never seen so much orange and bluish purple in my life. People truly get into it and love their football. Speaking of the people - I just LOVED the kind, gentle ways of the people I interacted with who truly know how to make you feel warm and welcomed. Why can't everyone be that way!?

We stayed in this quaint, southern, "rustic" bed and breakfast:

The sweet town also celebrated October with these ADORABLE scarecrows all around town:

On Friday, I was on my own to explore Clemson while Andrew golfed. My favorite part of the day was checking out the band practice for the halftime show. Virginia Tech and Clemson practiced TOGETHER to show unity in honoring the military. Very cool experience to watch!

The next day, we headed out to the game. It was pretty awesome:

Look at this little sleepy tiger:

Focused on his team:

We hopped over the wall and headed down on the field!

Everyone was clamoring for autographs from the players:

The next day, we toured around Clemson and Andrew shared with me his old stomping grounds:
