Labor Day Weekend

What a way to ring in fall around here. We spent the majority of the weekend at the Bumbershoot festival, enjoying spending time with Andrew's Aunts: Elle and Brenda, and r-e-l-a-x-i-n-g!!

Here's a snapshot of what our weekend looked like:

Andrew and Heather - lots of walking, sitting on grass, and even some popcorn eating.

We were blessed with gorgeous Seattle nights and not a cloud in the sky!

On Sunday, we had a fabulous lunch with Brenda and Elle at Dale Chihuly's Collections Cafe. It was super yummy and neat to see his personal collection of collectibles!

Plastic 1950's style radios:

Transistor radios:

 Circus Chalk Dolls:

Accordians floating from the ceiling:

Then, we walked around and checked out the Elvistravaganza:

An Elvis themed bedroom:

Lots and lots of music - we especially liked several Seattle based artists.

86 year old Tony Bennett was an absolute highlight! He looked daper, and handsome, and his voice was pristine. What a treat!

The best part of the weekend? These two... it was SO great to have family come for a visit!! We love Elle and Brenda!
