On Friday, we headed up to Whistler and stayed at Hotel Aava right in the village. It was just like I remembered from my college days! The snow was awesome and the atmosphere was bustling with New Year's energy! We had a wonderful ski day on the slopes and enjoyed the outdoor hot tub in the snow.
Check out this crazy view from our Gondola.... the Peak 2 Peak Gondola has the longest unsupported lift span in the world... not for the faint of heart, but amazing views!
New Year's Eve was spent at Ric's Grille in Whistler where we had an entertaining night between who we assumed was the owner "Ric" in a flamboyant getup and a musician who forgot to "ring in" the New Year with a proper countdown! A great time and great memories!
