A new home. A new place.
Hello! We arrived in Bellevue late last night. Home Sweet Home, but already missing my other home - Las Vegas - the home in my heart. But, life is a changin' and I'm riding the wave! Andrew sent me a sweet note today saying that he is looking forward to coming home after work because I'll be home! That's something new for both of us. We had a long drive up here from Vegas this weekend, but made a couple of quick stops along the way.
Here's a picture of us at Big Sur California. We had a lovely dinner in Carmel and I am now trying to figure out when we can do a weekend getaway there because I am dying to do some shopping and more yummy eating in the quaint village.
As we passed through Tacoma, we stopped in to check out my brother Jeff's dormatory and college. I am SUPER proud of him because he is starting a new Life too and at age 26 decided to go back to college to get his degree. He is a truly amazing guy and is making some very big decisions in his life as of late. I am SO happy that he is now living just 45 minutes away and is going to school at Pacific Lutheran University. I think it is a great fit for him.
Home Sweet Home. I am absolutely loving our new townhouse - especially the brick tudor style architecture. The best part though is our location - a very urban living experience in downtown Bellevue, Washington - just 15 minutes away from Seattle. It is gorgeous here and I am going to be doing lots of walking everywhere. It feels very healthy here with farmer's markets, lots of people biking and walking, trails and beautiful scenery. I think I am going to be in love with this new city real soon!
Here's an exterior shot of our townhome:
And, here are some pictures of what our back patio looks out to which is a common walkway. I just love all of the greenery and landscaping - it's very peaceful and beautiful here.
This afternoon I walked to meet Andrew for lunch. What a treat! We found a cute little bistro with beautifully presented food: ViaVita Cafe. Check it out!
